MOHAVE COUNTY – Forty-five Mohave Community College Bullhead campus students have been inducted to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society-Alpha Chi Psi chapter Friday, March 10 during a ceremony with friends and family.
Phi Theta Kappa’s mission is to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students by providing an opportunity for leadership, service, and development. Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa if they have achieved a 3.5 GPA and earned 12 credit hours.
“PTK is a fantastic accolade for students,” said Eric Osborn, PTK advisor. “Students in the honor society have access to scholarships and assistance to help them achieve their academic goals here, as well as transferring their MCC associate degree credits to one of our university partners where they can complete a bachelor’s degree. I’m just very proud of them all.”

New inductees were welcomed into the honor society by PTK officers: Ian Fleming (President), Jennifer Schaefle (Vice President of Scholarship), Samantha Covey (Vice President of Fellowship), Maranda Wilson (Vice President of Membership) and Robyn Hurley (Secretary). Club co-sponsors Osborn and Alana Johnson also welcomed new members.
Fall semester and summer semester enrollment is now open at MCC. The summer semester starts May 22 and fall semester classes start August 14.
