About Mohave Community College
MCC serves our communities, empowering students to succeed through innovative pathways and quality education.
Improving lives. Improving communities. Bridging possibility to purpose and prosperity.
Mohave Community College serves students throughout western Arizona and neighboring communities in California, Nevada and Utah. We have campuses in Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City and Colorado City, and an extensive online degree program.
The college has four primary academic pathways called Areas of Interest:
- General Education & Transfer
- Health & Public Services
- Career & Technical Education
- Corporate & Community Education
Under these Areas of Interest students have access to dozens of associate degree and certificate options, as well as many short-term, high skills non-credit workforce training and lifelong education classes. MCC students receive the skills training and education needed for rewarding careers, as well as the academic foundation to transfer their MCC associate degree credits to a university where they may enter as a junior and complete a bachelor’s degree. The college has seamless credit transfers to all the universities in Arizona and nearly twenty university partners outside the state.
MCC is the region’s premier workforce training center and partners with business, industry and government leaders throughout Arizona to ensure graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce with desired professional and industry-specific skills. The college is a regional economic driver with an annual economic impact of more than $200 million throughout Mohave County. MCC strives to meet the growing regional needs of business and industry, and provides opportunities for small business development, as well as professional development for employees in every business sector.
The college educational programs are consistently rated among the best and most affordable in the state by industry publications. In-state tuition at MCC is just $81 per credit hour, which is the most affordable in Arizona, and when combined with MCC’s high-quality academic and workforce training programs it is easy to see why MCC is frequently rated a Best Value College.
The college is also the home to Bighorns Soccer, the first college athletic team based in northwestern Arizona. You can keep up with latest news and information about the men’s and women’s teams at Athletics.Mohave.edu.
Filling out the college application is free and you can get started at Apply.Mohave.edu. If you need assistance please contact an Admissions Specialist. You may also reach the college at 1-866-MOHAVECC.
We also have an extensive Community & Corporate Education division, which offers non-credit (no grades) classes. The Community Education classes are often called leisure studies and may include everything from arts & crafts to welding basics. Corporate Education classes help build professional skills, some refer to them as soft skills, which are desired by employers. The college is also home to the Small Business Development Center, which can help you start a business, including developing a business plan and applying for a business loan.
Individuals who would like to support students through donations to college scholarship funds can do so through the Mohave Community College Foundation.
