Adult Education

Did life interfere with your education and you didn’t earn a High School Diploma? MCC can help you earn your High School Equivalency (HSE) and help prepare you to take the GED exams. Classes are:

  • Available to anyone aged 16 or over who is not currently enrolled in High School.
  • Offered both in person and online for Reading and Writing, Math, and GED Prep.
  • Free of charge

 

Interested in taking classes with us? Contact your local campus for additional information on how to enroll in the program and what is required for entry. Prep classes are not required to take the GED exams, but are offered as a community service to those who feel they need additional instruction before moving forward. If you have already taken the GED exams but need a copy of your diploma, please contact the Arizona Department of Adult Education at (602) 258-2410 or visit their page. Do you need a refresher in basic education courses? MCC can help you prepare for college classwork. Adult education courses may also fulfill prerequisites for higher level college courses. English Language Acquisition

Do you need to learn English or improve your English language skills? MCC can help! English Language Acquisition (ELA) classes are free of charge and available to students whose native language is not English. These classes are available to any person who is aged 16 or over, not enrolled in high school, and legally present in the U.S. Classes focus on reading, writing, listening and speaking English, and are available both in person and online. Students will be placed according to their language skills assessment and class availability.
