Meet the Fellows
“I’ve lived in Mohave County and been part of our communities for close to 30 years. I began working as an Automotive Collision instructor for MCC 13 years ago. I painted my first truck when I was 17 and was hooked! I was in the Auto Collision industry for over 25 years, having owned my own shop for 8 of those years. In my spare time away from the college, I love building cars. I have a 1987 Chevrolet Suburban that I take to car shows. I have found a true passion in education and bring a real-world vibe to my classes so that students are better prepared for a successful career in the Automotive Collison industry.” – Richie Mitten
Hi, I am Jacob “Jake” Crawford and have been a faculty member at MCC for six years, with 12 years of teaching experience in higher education. I am grateful for the community college experience in making education affordable and accessible. As Humanities Faculty I teach about culture, ideas, and the things we create in our various groups and societies around the world. We have so much to learn about each other and often we forget and focus on differences and division rather than acceptance and connection. I have the opportunity to run the makerspace on the BHC Campus and love to create and design artistic and functional things. Personally, I love the intersection of the arts and technology and all of the new ways humans have to express themselves.
