Mohave Community College’s department of Healthcare Simulation offers high-fidelity simulation to its community partners, agencies, and students by offering Simulation Spaces at each campus. A mobile simulation offering is also offered where any of the four high fidelity simulators from CAE (Elevate) Healthcare can be brought to our community partners, agencies, and other college campus locations in one of our two mobile simulation unit ambulances. Testing is open to the public and MCC students who are interested.
Registration and Payment: Test date registration closes 1 week prior to the scheduled test date. Most major credit cards are accepted. Cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee.
Required Apparel: All testers must provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, welding helmet, welding jacket or sleeves and welding gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, long pants and steel-toed or leather shoes or work boots. Individuals who arrive without appropriate equipment will not be permitted to test.
Company/Group Testing: Discounted pricing may be available for multiple testers from a single organization on a single date. Testing can also be conducted on-site, as needed.
Retests: On occasion, immediate retesting may be available. Immediate retesting must be approved and coordinated, including immediate payment at 50% of the original test cost, with the Director.

Additional Important Information:
- All training/testing is provided by certified staff.
- All weld tests are given to AWS Standard Weld Procedure specifications.
- Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) consists of safety-rated helmet, safety glasses, welding gloves, closed-toe shoes above the ankle, long-sleeve shirt made of natural fibers (cotton, wool, etc.).
- Proper PPE is required for all testing/training. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is customer’s responsibility unless noted in the details. Limited PPE Rental (helmet, safety glasses, welding gloves, welding jacket) is available for an additional fee.
- Non-destructive examination and destructive bend testing is used, and includes documentation to AWS and AWS National Registry.
- Testing to a company’s PQR/WPS is available.
- Third party X-ray examination can be performed for an additional fee.
- Training/Testing combination pricing available upon request.
- Welding processes available include SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and FCAW.
