The Bighorn Nerd Herd
The Bighorn Nerd Herd is an all-inclusive group for nerds of all types, whether you like video games, technology, anime, pop culture, and everything in between! We’re an amalgamation of a S.T.E.A.M. Club, Art Club, and Computer Club. We’re here for all things nerdy. The ‘Herd hosts two Culture Fairs and All Games Nights per semester in exchange for a small donation to our student food pantry! We also host gaming tournaments and other S.T.E.A.M. related events just about every week during spring and fall semesters. If you’re into crochet, catapults, egg drops, tabletop games, LARP, arts and crafts, or anything nerdy, this is the club for you!
In addition to gaming events, we hold weekly ‘Gathering of the Nerds’ meetings to give everyone a chance to get to know each other, why we consider ourselves nerds, indulge in our nerdy interests, and work on projects or events the ‘Herd may be involved in!
Meetings
Meetings are held every Friday in the Arizona Room in the Library on Lake Havasu Campus, in person from 2-3 pm. If we have an event that night, meetings are held in building 500, room 508 on the Lake Havasu Campus. We even have ‘unofficial’ meetings all summer long, on Thursdays at the same time in the Arizona Room in the Library!
