Interested in college courses? Mohave Community College is here to help. Eligible participants can take one class on us! This means MCC will cover the tuition cost for one course.
Purpose
Mohave Community College wants to give an opportunity to those interested in taking college courses but were not afforded the time, funds or the opportunity. This is an opportunity for new potential students to get their feet wet and try out a college level course. MCC serves our communities, empowering students to succeed through innovative pathways and quality education.
How to Apply

Take a Class on Us
Step 2 – Apply for admission into MCC with the Admissions Application.
Step 3 – All students are encouraged to apply for financial aid. Financial Aid resources include grants, loans, work-study opportunities on campus, and more.
Step 4 – Register for class! Talk to an MCC Advisor for assistance in developing an Academic Plan.
Eligibility
The offer applies to new students who have not been enrolled in any MCC classes and live in Mohave County. To be eligible to take one class on us, those interested must complete a sign up form and admissions application. Students who successfully participated in the “Take a Class on Us” promotion will have an opportunity to pay it forward to another person.

What will MCC cover as part of this promotion?
MCC will cover the tuition cost for one course. Students will be responsible for any course fees, textbooks, or any other educational needs.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible to take one class on us, those interested must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Mohave County resident
- Complete the sign-up form
- Have never been enrolled into a course at Mohave Community College
- Complete the Admissions Application
What is excluded from this promotion?
- Community Education classes
- Anyone who has ever taken a class at Mohave Community College

When can I use this promotion?
This promotion is valid for the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters
Can I enroll in more than one class?
Yes, although this promotion will only cover the tuition expense for one course, those interested could enroll in other courses that best fit their academic and personal goals. Other types of financial assistance to attend MCC are also available. Please visit the financial aid webpage to learn how to apply.
Paying it forward
After successful completion of the course, students will have an opportunity to pay it forward and give another person the chance to take a class at Mohave Community College. The same eligibility rules apply as stated above.
‘Am I Eligible’ – Eligibility Questions
I have a degree or a certificate from MCC, am I eligible?
No. Take a Class on Us is for new, first-time college students.
If I participated in the promotion before, am I eligible to apply again?
No. This is a one-time only promotion to take a class on us.
I took a Community Education class through MCC, am I eligible?
Yes, Community Education classes are non-credit classes for all in the community. The Take a Class on Us promotion is for a college credited course.
Are students enrolled in MCC programs eligible?
No. This promotion is for those who have never been enrolled in a course at MCC.
I am a High School student. Am I eligible?
No. This promotion is for those who have graduated high school or have earned a GED. There are many high school opportunities. Please visit the High School Opportunities webpage.
Are there any age restrictions?
Those interested must have a high school diploma or a GED to participate.
