Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement

Many high school students take Advanced Placement (AP) courses in preparation to pass the AP test and earn college credit. Lake Havasu High School/CRUHSD School District and Kingman Academy of learning have AP options for students. College credit is awarded solely on the student’s performance on this one exam and may transfer to colleges as an elective or required credit based on the student’s program of study and the college/university the student plans on attending.

FAQ Advanced Placement (AP)

How do I request my AP Exam Scores to be sent to Mohave College or other institutions?

Students can request that College Board send their official AP score report to college of choice, either at time of testing or afterward through a score report request. To learn more about sending AP Exam Scores visit this page.

What is the difference between dual enrollment credit and Advanced Placement?

Advanced Placement (AP) prepares students to pass the AP test to earn college credit. College credit is awarded solely on the student’s performance on this one exam and may transfer to colleges as an elective or required credit based on the student’s program of study and the college/university the student plans on attending.

Dual Enrollment courses allow students to receive a high school and college grade and credit for the work performed throughout the school year. Dual enrollment classes have the same seat-time as a typical high school class, during high school hours, taught by qualified high school teachers.

Do I have to pay for my AP Exam?

Advanced Placement (AP) exams typically incur exam costs. Check with your local high school about AP Exam fees.
