HSE High School Equivalency – College Credit Pathway Scholarship

The High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE) – College Credit Pathway provides students in Arizona who have not received a high school diploma the opportunity to obtain a high school diploma awarded through the Arizona Department of Education – Adult Services (as mandated through A.R.S. §15-702).

To earn the HSE Diploma students will complete 25 specific college credits at the 100+ level with a passing grade of a “C” or above and pass the Arizona Civics Test.

Note: This program is not financial aid eligible. Scholarship may apply (see below).

To receive the HSE Diploma, students are required to apply through the Arizona Department of Education Adult Education Services division.  Get more information on this program and its requirements at the Arizona Department of Education HSE page.

High School Equivalency Scholarship

While the High School Equivalency College Credit Pathway is not financial aid eligible, you may be able to receive a scholarship from MCC that covers the entire cost of the program. The scholarship is first come, first served. In order to qualify for the HSED program, you must:

  • Be 25 years of age or older
  • Reside in Mohave County
  • Qualify for In-State Residency (see our catalog for more details)
