Important Health Documentation Requirements
Please be advised that ALL health documentation for the Registered Nursing and Nursing Assistant Programs must be submitted before the start of each respective semester.

Spring 2026: December 15, 2025
Summer 2026 (Nursing Assistant): May 4, 2025
This one-semester course will include classroom, practical, and clinical experience. Upon successful completion, you will be able to take your state certification exam. Upon passing the state exam, the student can complete the online application through the Arizona Board of Nursing, requesting certification or license. Mohave College is an active participant with the WAVE/CTED and AZ@Work programs.
This course is available:
- On all campus locations
- In a traditional 16-week semester format
- In an accelerated eight (8) week format
- During the Fall, Spring, and Summer
Nursing Assistant Program Student Resource Guide has all the information to assist you with program and clinical requirements.
Enrollment in the Nursing Assistant program is as easy as having your Mohave College Student ID number, appropriate score on the reading assessment exam or completion of Adult Basic Education (ABE) courses ABE-021 (listed as PCS-021 in the 23-24 academic year) and an appropriate score on the math assessment exam or completion of ABE-023 (listed as PCS-023 in the 23-24 academic year).
Program Information Sessions
The Nursing Department conducts monthly information sessions for prospective and current students.
- The application deadline is October 1st for consideration for the Spring start
- The application deadline is May 1st for consideration for Fall start

Before Taking the Course
- Please review the Nursing Assistant Welcome Letter
- Complete a Registration Permissions Request form found in the letter.
- Once your registration permission has been granted, you will receive an email letting you know you can register for the class.
- All requirements that need to be completed prior to class starting are outlined in the welcome letter. You can start working on these requirements prior to enrolling in the class.
- The due date for all clinical health documents is three (3) weeks before the start of class.
