Medical Assisting
Certificates
Medical Assistants are versatile health professionals who collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare specialists in outpatient settings such as medical offices and clinics. They perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks essential for patient care. The demand for Medical Assistants is rapidly increasing. MCC offers a program that equips you for both front and back-office roles in ambulatory (outpatient) environments. For full-time students, the certificate can be completed in one year, and the program also prepares students for national certification.
Professional Certification Disclosure
The Medical Assisting Program at Mohave Community College has a site visit scheduled to pursue initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). This step in the process is neither a status of accreditation nor a guarantee that accreditation will be granted.
