Certificates

Local building contractors and electrical companies are in need of new employees! Our Advisory Board has communicated to the Electrical Department that they need electricians that are ready to get their careers started in residential, commercial, and industrial positions. Now you have two certificate options to help get you trained and hired.

The MCC Electrical program will provide you with the education needed to obtain a Residential Wiring Certificate, which shows employers that you are ready to start working as a residential wiring installer and electrician helper. You’ll learn the proper techniques for residential wiring applications, including navigating the NEC code book for residential and commercial electrical installations.

The industrial field is growing in Mohave County and the Commercial/Industrial Electricity Certificate will show employers that you work safely, are professional, and properly in a craftmanship like manner to install electrical devices to code. You will also be introduced to industrial controls in low voltage environment such as audio, video, fire alarm systems, security alarm systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
