Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Classes in this program begin Fall Semester 2025. The Application and Enrollment process for Fall Semester 2025 classes will begin in the Spring of 2025. Diagnostic Medical Sonographers play a crucial role in the healthcare industry by using ultrasound technology to produce images of the body’s internal structures, aiding in diagnosis and treatment. The program’s accreditation status will ensure that it meets the high standards required for quality education in this field. Mohave Community College is institutionally accredited through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). A TEAS test with a minimum score of 62 is required for the program.
Upon completion, graduates will have passed the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) exam and will be eligible to take the Registry Exam in either the Abdominal (AB) or Vascular Technology (VT) Concentrations.
