Mohave Community College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
The HLC is one of six regional accreditors recognized by the Council for Higher Education (CHEA) and the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) to provide accreditation to degree-granting, post-secondary educational institutions in the North Central region, which includes: Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Mexico, South Dakota, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
The last self- study and comprehensive review conducted by the HLC was in 2012. An Assurance Argument and federal compliance report were submitted in December, 2016, and a review and site visit was conducted in February, 2017, in fulfillment of the fourth year Assurance Review requirements for institutions on the Standard Pathway.
