The Search
Mohave College is embarking on an exciting new chapter as we begin the search for our next president. This leader will play a vital role in shaping the future of our institution, guiding our mission to serve students, strengthen our communities, and expand opportunities for growth and innovation. The search process will be inclusive and transparent, with input from faculty, staff, students, and community members to help ensure we find a president who reflects our values and vision.
Timeline
Sept. 30 – Oct. 1
ACCT Search Consultants facilitate a series of in-person, open public forums—inviting administrators, staff, faculty, students, and community members—to gather feedback that will inform the development of the draft Presidential Profile. Approximately ten days before the forum date, a Presidential Search Announcement is distributed to collect additional feedback for the Presidential Profile. All forums can be attended remotely via Zoom (Meeting ID: 871 0521 8794).

Presidential Search Committee Meeting #1: Training and Orientation
During this meeting, the committee will receive and review the draft Presidential Profile. They will edit and refine the draft as necessary. This meeting is expected to last approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Following the Search Committee Meeting #1, the District Board of Governors will hold a special meeting to discuss, edit, and finalize the Presidential Profile. This meeting will last for 1 hour.
Week of Oct. 15
Presidential profiles are posted on the Mohave College and ACCT websites. ACCT and Search Consultants conduct targeted local, statewide, and national one-on-one recruitment of highly competitive and diverse candidates. Advertisements will be placed.
January 13, 2026
Please submit your application by this target date. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
January 16 – 26
Members of the Presidential Search Committee will use ACCT’s secure web portal to review and rate confidential applications.
January 30, 2026
Presidential Search Committee Meeting #2: The Presidential Search Committee will meet to discuss and select approximately 7 to 9 confidential semifinalists. This will be a 5 to 6 hour meeting.
February 26 – 27
Presidential Search Committee Meeting #3: The committee meets for confidential semifinalist interviews, conducted over two days via video or in-person. The Search Committee will deliberate and select 3 to 4 finalists, whom they will recommend to the Board of Governors.
Week of March 23
Finalists visit the college for tours, participate in public forums, and meet with direct reports. Finalists then interview with the District Board of Governors. During deliberations, ACCT provides oral in-depth reference reports on the final candidates, and the Board negotiates contracts.
Early April 2026
The new President of Mohave College is announced.
July 1, 2026
Start date for the next President of Mohave College, or as agreed upon by the President-Elect and the District Board of Governors.
