About Mohave Community College

Mission Statement

“The mission of Mohave Community College is to be a learning-centered institution, serving all constituencies, inspiring excellence through innovation and empowering students to succeed.”

 

 

MCC is a comprehensive community college serving more than 6,000 students each year. Our In-State Tuition is $81 per credit hour. We serve the northwest portion of the State of Arizona and neighboring communities in California, Nevada and Utah.

MCC has campuses in Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City and Colorado City, and an extensive online degree program – MCC Online.

The college offers more than 80 associate degree and certificate options in 40 programs.  Our classes that provide students with the skills, training and education they need for rewarding careers, and the academic foundation to go on to a university for a bachelor’s degree and higher.

Mohave Community College strives to meet the growing workforce needs of business and industry and to provide opportunities for small business development.  

The college also offers an extensive list of non-credit Community & Corporate Education classes. 

Individuals who would like to support students through donations to college scholarship funds can do so through the Mohave Community College Foundation.

Affordable

Many people leave universities with empty pockets and the burden of large school loans. MCC’s tuition is approximately one quarter the cost of tuition at state universities. The MCC Financial Aid department is ready to help you fund your education.

The in-class student-to-teacher ratio at MCC averages 16-to-1; that means you get hands-on learning and one-on-one time with instructors.

Tools for success

MCC recognizes that students need the right tools to succeed. That is why we provide students with current computer software and hardware. Computers are available for student use in the libraries and the Student Learning Commons.

Smooth transfer of credits

When students successfully complete an Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) degree, admission into an Arizona state university is guaranteed! In addition, students who cannot relocate can complete their graduate degree through one of MCC’s partner universities.

Preparatory services

All people who want to better themselves have the opportunity for success at MCC. Our Precollege Studies division is dedicated to helping those who need fundamental education skills to prepare for college course work.

Enhanced earning potential

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, those who complete an associate’s degree will earn, on average, 33 percent more than high school graduates.

MCC offers various support services: free tutoring, supplemental instruction, public-use computers, accommodations for documented disabilities and more.
