MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave College is welcoming students back for the start of the fall semester, with strong enrollment, expanded academic opportunities and additional class start dates available for students who have not yet registered.
Approximately 4,744 students are enrolled for the fall semester, up more than 3% from this same time last year. This fall 1,225 students are new to Mohave College, while 3,121 are continuing and 419 are returning after taking some time away from classes. The increased enrollment reflects the College’s mission of improving lives and communities through accessible, affordable higher education and workforce training.
This fall marks continued growth for the College, including expanded bachelor’s degree opportunities in Biology, Elementary Education, Human Services and Nursing RN-BSN (Registered Nurse-Bachelors of Science in Nursing).
Students also have access to new workforce-focused programs, including Residential Construction, Computer-Aided Design, Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics, Medical Laboratory Assistant, Cosmetology, helping meet regional workforce demands in skilled trades and healthcare.
Although traditional 16-week courses have begun, students still have opportunities to start this semester through upcoming 12-week and 8-week classes. These shorter course formats provide flexible pathways for students balancing work, family and other responsibilities while pursuing a degree, certificate or career training credential.

Students attending Mohave are investing in an education that delivers measurable results. According to the most recent economic impact study, for every $1 dollar a student invests in their education at the College, they receive $6.30 in higher career earnings. The study also found the College generates an estimated $199 million in annual economic impact for Mohave County.
The College’s economic impact reaches well beyond its campuses. The study estimates that more than 3,000 jobs across Mohave County exist because of economic activity generated by the College, its students and alumni. These jobs include positions at businesses and organizations throughout the county in fields such as health care, social services, retail, skilled trades and professional services. Together, they represent one of every 28 jobs in Mohave County.
Alumni account for the largest share of that impact, adding an estimated $158 million annually to the local economy through their higher earnings and increased workplace productivity.
It’s not too late to sign up. College admissions, financial aid, advising and registration assistance are available to help students begin or continue their education this semester.
Twelve-week classes start Sept. 14 and eight-week classes start Oct. 12. Some programs have multiple 8-week start dates, including the online Nursing RN-BSN.
