Dr. Jenna Lowder, the College’s dean of Student Life and Community Engagement, recently contributed a leadership article to Education Technology Insights, a national print and digital trade publication featuring perspectives, trends and technology strategies for education professionals and institutional leaders.

In The Mismatch Between Online Course Design and Learner Reality, Dr. Lowder examines how online education can better serve working adults, caregivers, first-generation students and other modern learners balancing multiple responsibilities.  She encourages instructors to reduce unnecessary barriers, break lessons into manageable units, provide timely and personalized feedback and create more flexible, engaging learning experiences without sacrificing academic rigor.
