MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave College Corporate Education is bringing its Hospitality Success Series to Kingman this spring, continuing its efforts to support workforce development in the region’s hospitality industry.
Scheduled for May 6, May 20 and June 3 from 2–3 p.m., the series will take place at the Mohave College Beale Street Center in Kingman and is designed to help hospitality professionals enhance customer service, increase sales, and build stronger, more effective teams.
“Great service and strong teams are what drive success in hospitality. This series helps employees and managers develop the skills they need to connect with guests, increase sales in a meaningful way, and create a work environment where people feel motivated to stay and perform at their best,” said Janice Berkenheger, Corporate Education & Career Training Program Manager.
Workshop one, Serve Smarter: Service Skills that Drive Sales, is held May 6 and May 20. This workshop is designed to build skills over time, giving participants the opportunity to learn, apply and expand on key concepts across both sessions. Attendees will gain practical tools to deliver exceptional customer service while increasing sales through proven techniques, including creating positive guest experiences, effective communication and strategies for upselling without pressure. This workshop is broken into two parts.
The second workshop, Stronger Teams, Better Shifts is held June 3. This workshop focuses on employee motivation, team engagement and communication skills. Participants will learn how to strengthen workplace culture, improve staff buy-in and reduce turnover.
The training is ideal for servers, front desk staff, employees and managers across the hospitality industry.
