Mohave College is pleased to congratulate Wendy Donnell, purchasing manager, on being selected to receive a professional development scholarship from the Arizona State Capitol Chapter of NIGP, The Institute for Public Procurement.

NIGP stands for the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and is known today as NIGP, The Institute for Public Procurement, a national organization that provides education, resources and professional standards for public procurement professionals.

The scholarship supports Donnell’s continued training in public procurement and will help her complete three NIGP Core Certificate courses in April: Foundations of Planning and Analysis, Foundations of Sourcing and Contracting, and Foundations of Strategy and Policy.

“We’re very happy for Wendy, and this selection shows her commitment to continued learning and excellence in public procurement,” said Vice President of Administrative Services Joline Pruitt, whose division includes the college Business Office. “Her work helps ensure Mohave College maintains strong purchasing practices that support students, employees, and the communities we serve.”

Donnell said she is grateful for the opportunity to continue building her skills through NIGP. “This is very exciting for me because it will help me strengthen my purchasing and contracting skills that support college mission and day-to-day operations.”

Mohave College recognizes the importance of ongoing professional development for employees who manage public resources and ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer and student dollars. Donnell’s scholarship and training will help continue a tradition of excellence Mohave employees provide.
