Mohave College and the Mohave College Foundation will host its first-ever Bike Rodeo, 10 a.m.-2p.m., Saturday, April 11, at the Mohave College Neal Campus-Kingman, 1971 Jagerson Ave.
The free event is open to the community and is designed to be a fun, hands-on way for riders of all ages to build confidence and learn essential bicycle and e-bike safety skills. The Bike Rodeo is being supported and organized in collaboration with the Mohave College Foundation Alumni and Friends chapter in Kingman, which is helping sponsor the event and engage community partners.
The event will focus on youth, families and community engagement through interactive stations and guided activities that promote safe riding practices. Activities will include helmet and bike fit inspections, bicycle safety checks, handling and control skills, e-bike safety education and road awareness resources.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own bicycles and helmets to take part. This event marks the first in what hopes to be an ongoing series of Bike Rodeos aimed at expanding bike safety education and community outreach across Mohave County.
Community members interested in supporting the Bike Rodeo may do so through the event donation link. Contributions help provide additional helmets, safety supplies, and educational materials to support both this inaugural event and future bike rodeos. Local businesses and organizations are also invited to participate by hosting activity stations, volunteering or supporting the event through sponsorships or in-kind contributions. These partnerships help strengthen community connections and promote health and safety throughout the region.
Those interested in being a sponsor at the event or supporting future Bike Rodeos may contact Julio A. Galindo, Executive Director of Foundation and College Advancement, at (928) 692-3096 or jgalindo@mohave.edu or Rachel Cools Operations Coordinator, Student Life and Community Engagement, at (928) 757-0843 or rcools@mohave.edu.
