Mohave College Expands Pathways to Success, Adding Degrees and Certificates with More Planned

Mohave College has added a slate of new and expanded degree and certificate options aligned with regional workforce needs and community partner input.

The initiatives strengthen career pathways for students across the district and support in-demand fields including healthcare, public safety, construction, and technology.

New and Expanded Programs

  • Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • Computer Technician Certification
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography – Cardiac Pathway
  • Fire Science – Fire Officer Certificate
  • Law Enforcement Academy Preparation Certificate
  • Network Support Certificate
  • Refrigeration Technician Certificate
  • Rehabilitation Technician
  • Residential Construction Certificate
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner

“These additions reflect our ongoing collaboration with business, industry, government, education and nonprofit partners to ensure students gain skills that employers need and communities value,” said Dr. Tim Culver, Mohave College Interim President.

Pending accreditation approval from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), Mohave College is also prepared to offer bachelor’s degrees in Biology, Early Education (K-8 Teachers), and Human Services. The HLC expects to announce a final decision in mid-November.

Also pending HLC approval is a Cosmetology program, which the College board approved in September. It would be located in Kingman, next to the Mohave College Beale Street Center.

The College is currently enrolling students for spring and summer semesters.  You are encouraged to enroll early to ensure you secure a spot in class. New and returning students can get started at Mohave.edu/Admission

Spring semester starts January 12 and summer semester begins June 1.
