MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave College celebrated employees hitting their years of service milestones during its recent Convocation. Employees celebrating 5, 10, 15, 25 and 35 years of service to the College were recognized in front of their peers.
Also recognized was the Ellen Licari Service to Students Award recipient, Cat Therrien, Student Life Coordinator. The award recognizes employees who go above and beyond to put students first. It was established in honor of Ellen Licari, a former Mohave College advisor who was dedicated to helping students succeed. Licari passed away in 2011, and the award is presented annually to a college employee who exemplifies her commitment to student support.
This year, the Employee Engagement Committee created Pride of the Bighorns initiative to celebrate the outstanding contributions of colleagues. The following employees were recognized: Abigail Jaimes-Gomez for Authentic Leadership; Andrea Wange for Visionary Innovator; Margi Chatwood for Fearless Engagement; Erin Roper for Collaborative Impact; Roxie Joslin for Rising Star; and the Library Services team received the Mohave College Cares Award.
