MOHAVE COUNTY – Eight Mohave College students were awarded the Adult Learner Restart Scholarship. Students who won the scholarship are going into such areas as computer information systems, nursing, elementary education, automotive collision repair and HVAC.
Many recipients are parents, caregiver for aging parents, and all are excited to attend Mohave College and better their lives through education. The Q’s & Brews BBQ Competition helped raised $4,000 for the Adult Learner Scholarship. The event was held in March on the Lake Havasu Campus.
Students awarded are Barry LeMonte Carver, Sherry Alvarado, Danielle Lapierre, Krea De Ann Yeager, Juan Mascorro, Christine Everette, William John Colenso and Danielle Marie Clendenin.
