MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College is proud to announce that Natalie Martinez has been selected as student speaker for the 2025 Commencement ceremony. Martinez is a student on the Bullhead Campus and is working toward earning her associate degree in business administration, and education.
A proud wife, mother of three and first-generation college student, Martinez embodies the spirit of perseverance and dedication. Her story reflects resilience, determination, and a deep passion for building a future for her family and community.
“It feels great and truly an honor,” Martinez said. “Being chosen is a reminder that all the hard work, long nights and sacrifices have been worth it.”
Earning her degree will help support her goal of owning her own real estate appraisal business. She decided to pursue a career in real estate because it provides her with a flexible schedule and earning potential, and having her business degree will strengthen her foundation. Her godmother has been her inspiration and guidance during her journey of pursing this career field, as well as a constant source of encouragement.
Martinez credits her success to the support of her husband, the encouragement of college faculty, her advisor, and her desire to set an example for her children.
Her inspiring journey will take center stage at the commencement ceremony, where she’ll share words of encouragement with fellow graduates and guests, celebrating the power of persistence and purpose.
“My message to my peers is that no matter what challenges you face, whether it’s balancing work, family, school or starting over, you can achieve your goals with determination, support and perseverance,” she said.
Martinez has lived in Bullhead City since 2022 and has been balancing working full-time, school, her family and volunteering at her children’s school. She’s on the parent teacher organization at Desert Light Christian Academy, and serves as a representative for Bullhead City Head Start.
The 54th annual Mohave Community College Commencement ceremony will take place at 3 PM, Friday, May 16 at the Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse, 3663 Bullhead Parkway. For more information about the ceremony, visit Mohave.edu/Graduation.
