MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College’s Bursar Office has recently won the 2023 BankMobile ACE Award.
“We are excited to announce, this is the sixth Achieve Campus Efficiency Award (ACE) MCC has received from BankMobile since the program’s inception,” said Connie Shelley, Bursar. “The Bursar Team is proud to be recognized for our exceptional efficiency and security in processing student refunds.”
The Bursar’s Office assists students with student accounts, provides management information regarding billing, payment plans and much more. Shelley, Margi Chatwood, Erica Dysart and Phebe Partridge received the award. The four, join just over 180 other college Bursar’s Offices across the country in receiving the award.
The award recognizes offices that distributed more than 90% of all refunds during the period of Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 in 2023. They also recognize that more than 40% of all students, regardless of financial aid eligibility, completed the refund selection process.
In aggregate, institutions that partner with BankMobile have the highest electronic disbursement rates in higher education – 86.5% out of 6.9 million disbursements processed by BankMobile during this time were delivered electronically by direct deposit into the account of the students’ choosing.
National Community College Month, observed in April, celebrates the contributions and achievements of community colleges in providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality education to millions of students across the country. It aims to raise awareness about the important role community colleges play in fostering workforce development, economic growth, and social mobility. The month also highlights student and employee success stories and the wide range of programs and services community colleges offer to meet the needs of their communities.
