BUILDING 500 UPDATE:
BUILDING 500: After learning of potential mold contamination in the Neal-Campus Kingman building 500, MCC closed the building and engaged the Environment Protection Group to test air quality in the building and others on campus. The company reports all tests show the air quality in 500 and other buildings falls within acceptable standards and is considered safe. Since mold was found inside a section of one wall, Building 500 remains closed as the College determines whether it’s more beneficial to remediate or keep it closed until the structure can be replaced, as recommended in the Facilities Master Plan. Students, your instructor will advise you as to the location and modality of the classes that are affected by the closure. The college is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for everyone on campus. If you have questions about the building, please contact the Office of the Dean of Student & Community Engagement. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we address this matter with the utmost care and attention.

Due to potential safety concerns, the Neal Campus-Kingman 500 Building has been closed indefinitely, effective immediately. All classes and activities scheduled to take place in the 500 Building have been relocated to alternative locations/modalities.
The decision to close the building was made after the discovery of a possible safety risk that could not be immediately remedied. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we are working diligently to address this issue as quickly as possible.
Students, if you have classes scheduled in the Neal Campus-Kingman Campus 500 building, please refer to Canvas for more information from your instructors for the new location of your classes.
For more information and updates regarding the closure of the 500 Building, please contact the Dean’s Office at TRausaw@mohave.edu or 928-692-3000.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety of our campus community.
