MOHAVE COUNTY – There’s still time to give yourself the gift of higher education at Mohave Community College. Classes for the spring and summer semesters start January 8 and May 28.

Recent labor market data shows that for every dollar a student invests at MCC they receive $6.10 in higher career earnings throughout their life. A full report on the positive economic impact MCC has on students and the county can be viewed online at Mohave.edu/ImprovingLives.

Classes are held on campus, online and remotely via Zoom. Everyone can search the classes that are available for each semester by visiting the college website Mohave.edu, then select the Academics tab near the top of the page and select Search Available Courses. Becoming a student is easy with the College’s new online application portal at Apply.Mohave.edu, just create a student account to get started.

“Everyone’s encouraged to start their college journey at MCC where tuition and value rank among the best in the state,” said James Jarman, executive director of college communications. “With a diverse range of class options and comprehensive student services, including free tutoring, MCC strives to make a college education accessible and attainable for everyone.” He also noted that senior citizens may receive a tuition reduction in all of the College’s credit and non-credit courses.

The College has four academic divisions that provide pathways for students to pursue their education and career goals:

Under these divisions, students have access to associate degree and certificate options, as well as dozens of fun and educational non-credit classes.

The College partners with business, industry, government and education leaders throughout the state to ensure graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce or transfer to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree. The College facilitates seamless credit transfers to all the public universities in Arizona, and many other university partners.

Once a person creates a student account and fills out the free online application, a college Student Services representative will be in contact to help guide you through the admissions and enrollment process, including tuition assistance options. To create an account or fill out the free application, visit apply.mohave.edu.

For those who want to learn, but are not interested in earning college credits, the Community and Corporate Education division provides a wide range of non-credit classes. Students can gain new skills in a variety of classes including short term workforce and career training. To view the non-credit options just head to Mohave.edu and click Community & Corporate Education in the middle of the page.

More information is available at the College’s four campuses, online at Mohave.edu, or by calling 866-MOHAVECC (866-664-2832).
