MOHAVE COUNTY – Community College Review ranks Mohave Community College at the top of all community colleges in Arizona for affordability.

College tuition at MCC is the lowest in the state, according to a review by the online site that provides free, detailed profiles of community colleges across the country.

The MCC Board of Trustees has voted not to raise tuition for the past seven years, helping keep tuition affordable and access to higher education attainable for everyone.  The base tuition rate is $81 per credit hour.

“This number one ranking reflects the mindset we have at MCC, which is that our students and our communities come first and deserve to have access to high quality affordable higher education and career training,” said MCC President Dr. Stacy Klippenstein.

MCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate options allowing graduates to either enter the workforce immediately upon graduation or transfer to a university as a junior, which can help a person pursuing a bachelor’s degree save approximately $15,000 in tuition alone.

The college also offers tuition assistance through grants, scholarships and a payment plan.  MCC has distributed a total of $4,434,151 in federal funding directly to students since the pandemic began, and more emergency funding is expected to be distributed to eligible students during the Spring 2022 semester.

Currently, MCC is signing students up for spring and summer semesters.  Those wanting to sign up for classes are encouraged to get started at Mohave.edu/EnrollNow.  It is free to fill out the application to become a student, and once it is completed you will be contacted by a college student services representative who will help you get enrolled in classes.
