MOHAVE COUNTY – The Bullhead City campus has recently acquired some artwork from students.
Welding and Art students from the Bullhead City campus collaborated together to provide an art display, The Desert in Bloom, in the library.
Welding students welded roses and the art students were able to paint them. Also, part of this collaboration was faculty member, Beau Rogers. Rogers provided some of his photographs from Montana’s Glacier National Park, Washington’s Mount Rainer National Park and Arizona’s Wupatki National Monument.
The entire project took about seven months to finalize. Programs involved with the art display were Career and Technical Education, English and General Education.
The library also received a donation from student Charles McCune. McCune donated his piece, Preservation of Life, to the space themed study room.
