The Mohave Community College Board of Governors invites all college employees, students and community members to meet the four finalists in the nationwide search for the next college president.

You will have an opportunity to meet the candidates at an MCC campus near you on April 24 and April 25.  The finalists will visit with each MCC campus at the times and locations provided below.  The North Mohave campus attendees will meet the candidates and ask them questions via an interactive video feed.

There will be a feedback form available online, so you may submit comments about your thoughts on each candidate. MCC Governing Board members will be provided the feedback.

The candidates being considered for the position of Mohave Community College President are:

Songie Adebiyi – Ms. Adebiyi currently serves as Vice President of Student Development at South Suburban College in Illinois, a position she has held since 2006.  She has also been an Associate Dean at South Suburban, responsible for federal grant projects and a variety of student training and services programs. Songie began her career at South Suburban College in 2000, after serving as a Program Associate at the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory.  Prior to that, she was a Counseling Supervisor with Home Access Health Corporation. Ms. Adebiyi earned her Master’s degree in Education and her Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences Psychology from the University of Illinois (Champaign).

Krista Johns – Dr. Johns currently serves as the Guided Pathways Regional Coordinator for the Bay Area, reporting to the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.  She previously served as Vice Chancellor for Educational Services and Student Success in the Chabot-Los Positas Community College District and has also been the Vice President for Policy and Research with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Accrediting Commission (ACCJC). Dr. Johns moved into Higher Ed after serving as the Senior Attorney for Education Development in the Administrative Office of the California Courts. She holds an earned Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and was awarded a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Johns is a CCLDI Fellow from Claremont Graduate University.

Stacy Steve Klippenstein – Dr. Klippenstein serves as the President of Miles Community College in Miles City, Montana, a position he has held since January of 2014. He previously served as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at Montana State University in Billings, and was the Director of University Housing and New Student Programs at Central Washington University. From 1996 until 2000, his professional career was at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where he served in Facilities Management and the Office of Residence Life.  Stacy was awarded his Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He attended Montana State University in Billings where he earned both his Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education.

Gregory S. Rogers – Dr. Rogers is currently the Director of Academic Analytics and Institutional Effectiveness at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. From 2008 to 2016, he served as Vice President of Administrative Services and CIO at Glendale Community College. Prior to arriving in Arizona, Greg was the Vice President for Administration and Vice President for Information Technology Systems at Black Hawk College (Illinois). Before his career in Higher Ed, Greg had experience in the business world, serving as a Systems Analyst and Project Leader. Dr. Rogers earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in Tucson, his MBA from Northern Illinois University (DeKalb), his Bachelor of Science degree from Elmhurst College, and began his post-secondary education at Wm Rainey Harper College (Palatine, IL) where he was awarded an AA degree.
