From the Mohave Valley Daily News:
“Mohave Community College will honor a late employee’s wishes with a new scholarship for a Tri-state student. Barbara Nelson-Simpson, who passed away in the summer of 2016, was the assistant to the college dean at MCC’s Bullhead City campus. The college announced Wednesday that it has set up a scholarship in her name.
The Barbara Nelson-Simpson Memorial Scholarship will provide $1,500 to a student from the Bullhead City area, which means students in Mohave Valley, Laughlin and Needles who plan to attend MCC can apply for it. The college said it’s seeking to carry on Nelson-Simpson’s legacy of touching those with whom she came into contact.”
