Student Nursing Organization (SNO)

The Student Nurses’ Organization is Mohave Community College’s registered nursing program’s community service organization; SNO is essentially the student club for nursing school! SNO does a wide variety of things throughout each semester including civic service projects like blood drives, bone marrow registry drives, sock drives for children, food drives, and more; we even have an annual Haunted Hospital for the public to tour with free blood pressure screenings!

The Student Nurses’ Organization offers scholarships each semester to SNO members, gains discounts for scrubs, medical equipment, and more, and allows members the opportunity to attend state and national conferences too.

SNO is a great way to gain a closer rapport with nursing faculty, work closely with fellow students, build

leadership skills, and participate in projects great for resumes and scholarships. Most importantly of all, SNO allows you to give back to the community that does so much for its people. After all, isn’t that what nursing is all about? Students completing their pre-requisites for nursing and those presently in the program are welcomed to join the Student Nurses’ Organization and attend our spring meetings. Welcome to nursing, and welcome to SNO!

Becoming an officer with the Student Nurses’ Organization is a great way to demonstrate and practice leadership skills! Elections will be held at our first meeting of 2015 in February, so submit a “Willingness to Serve” form to your campus advisor ASAP!
