Mohave Community College has joined the ranks of 20 major colleges and universities from around the nation as an associate institution in a program to initially transform and improve college transfer coursework.

MCC has been notified that it has been selected by the Center for Academic Transformation to participate in the Roadmap to Redesign program, or R2R. R2R is sponsored by a grant from the Federal Fund for Improvement of Postsecondary Education.

The college submitted a proposal to redesign the way its Introductory Psychology course is taught. One of the major goals of R2R is to engage institutions in rethinking their approaches to integrating information technology to enhance learning and reduce costs. If successful, the model created by the redesign could be implemented throughout the institution.
