CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS - ART

Kim Stones, left, and Bonnie Stillman, both Community Outreach students on the Bullhead City campus of Mohave Community College, worked diligently on Tuesday to perfect the roundness of their pots on the campus pottery wheel.LSA071C Ceramics- Students in the Ceramics program learn the basic techniques of hand-building, wheel-working, mold-making, glazing, and kiln-firing. The program includes work in ceramic casting, architectural ceramics, and clay and glaze materials. 24 hours. Fees: $5.00

LSA072T   Creative Floral Designs - Learn creative ideas and techniques to make beautiful floral arrangements and decorations. Focus will be on upcoming seasonal projects to keep your home festive throughout the year. Use your favorite vase or container to create your own unique designs. 4 hours.

LSA074K Painting Media- Tole painting is the folk art of decorative painting on tin and wooden utensils, objects and furniture. This traditional art can be easily learned by anyone with absolutely no prior artistic experience. 16 hours.

The late Larry Zubrick in action.LSA075C Big Brush- Have fun learning to paint in a loose, uninhibited way producing fresh and spontaneous wet on wet paintings.  Since lighter colors will usually mix with darker colors if laid over top of them  while wet, the technique relies on painting from light colors up.  This gives the painting a soft look, and allows the colors to be blended to the painter's desire. 12 hours.Fees: $5.00 Supply list.
