Need help paying for college?
The Financial Aid Office’s Mission is to provide Mohave Community College students with prompt, accurate and courteous financial aid assistance.
A college education is achieved through a financial partnership that includes the student and his/her family, the government, the college and the public sector. The student and his/her family decides how much of their budget can be used for education. The government offers grants and loans. The college offers a convenient tuition payment plan, and the private sector provides scholarships.
To help students cover the cost of college, MCC administers a comprehensive financial aid program. Financial aid is designed to bridge the gap between the costs of attending college and what students and/or their parents are expected to pay.
Citizens and eligible non-citizens of the United States may apply for assistance regardless of sex, age, color, religion, marital status, national origin, pregnancy-related conditions, handicap or veteran disability.
Students may apply for scholarships and financial aid by visiting the Financial Aid office in the student services buildings on the four MCC campuses.
Appointments are necessary to see a Financial Aid Advisor. For appointments or information, contact the Financial Aid office on your local campus.
Don't pay to have someone apply for financial aid on your behalf. It's a free process at www.fafsa.ed.gov. There is also a FAFSA tutorial online. In addition, our financial aid staff is familiar with the application process and can provide assistance for free.
The U.S. Department of Education provides students and parents with financial aid program information as well.
Each college in the country is assigned a number, called the Title IV Code, so the federal government can easily identify the school(s) at which you want to be eligible for financial aid. The Title IV Code for MCC is: 011864.
