Remote Learning Course Locations

A Rural Utility Services Distance Learning & Telemedicine Grant from the United States Department of Agriculture made it possible for MCC to establish Interactive Television (ITV) classrooms in 10 remote locations throughout Mohave County.

Those locations include the Yucca, Oatman and Golden Shores fire departments, the Chemeheuvi, Hualapai, Kaibab Piute and Fort Mohave reservations, and three schools – Black Mountain elementary in Golden Valley, Owens Elementary in Wikieup, and Beaver Dam High School in Beaver Dam, AZ.

The first courses were offered in the Spring of 2011. The ITV system is also being used to enhance inter-tribal communications and provide interdepartmental training for fire safety personnel.
