The Emergency Medical Technology program offers an associate of applied science degree in a Paramedic Emphasis for emergency medical technicians. The program operates under the regulations of the Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) and with the cooperation of local, state and private medical institutions and emergency medical services agencies, to train people for positions ranging from First Responder through Certified Emergency Paramedic. The program also offers refresher and other continuing education courses. American Heart Association CPR and First Aid courses are also available. MCC offers an associate of applied science paramedic emphasis degree and a certificate program.
Employment is available as an EMT - Basic or Paramedic - through local ambulance services and fire departments. In addition, several local hospitals employ the position of ER Technician.
