Medical Assisting

The demand for Medical Assistants is high and growing. MCC can prepare you for employment in both front- and back-office positions in hospitals, doctors’ offices and other health care settings.

The Medical Assistant program offers a degree and three certificates:

  • Associate of Applied Science in Medical Assisting
  • Certificate in Insurance and Coding
  • Certificate in Phlebotomy
  • Certificate - Generalist

For full-time students, the certificates will take one year to complete. The degree requires two years. Almost all coursework in the specialty certificates will apply to the associate degree coursework. Click here and we’ll send you more information about the program.
