Students gain experience using AutoCAD 2006. Many design firms utilize AutoCAD for large portions of legacy data. Students also gain experience using SolidWorks.

SolidWorks is a very affordable yet powerful 3D solid modeling and parametric construction software package.

SolidWorks is very attractive for mechanical design firms that are looking to move into 3D solid modeling and parametric construction from 2D AutoCAD or other 2D drafting software.

Students also gain experience in what may be considered the “Cadillac of CAD software” CATIA. CATIA is used by Boeing, Chrysler and other heavy hitters in the design and manufacturing area. Students gain experience using CATIA's and SolidWorks' unique features such a Kinematics, Statics and Animation.

Students from Mohave Community College’s Drafting Technology and Computer Aided Drafting program possess all of these skills upon graduation.
