Getting Started at MCC

Follow the seven steps below for a seamless process to enroll at MCC!

Step 2: Plan for Payment

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit mohave.edu/scholarships for scholarship opportunities, application criteria and additional financial aid details.

An affordable payment plan is available as a payment alternative to financial aid with 0% interest! Enrollment is easy. Sign up by the first day of the semester to be eligible for no down payment and up to four monthly payments (payment structures may change by semester). A per semester fee of $25 is required.

Step 3: COMPASS

Take the COMPASS assessment. This assessment can take up to two hours, and determines course placement. Cost is $10 for those with an MCC student ID, $25 for all others. The assessment can be retaken one time per semester. The COMPASS assessment may not be required depending on previous college transcripts.

Step 4: Advising

Develop an education plan with student services specialist.

Step 5: Register

Log onto jics.mohave.edu, click on the student tab to register for classes and have your student ID picture taken in a student services office, the same day.
