MCC2NAU's Community College Partnership

Instructor teaching classMCC2NAU offers a seamless transition for students at MCC in Bullhead City, Kingman, Lake Havasu City and the North Mohave campus to continue their education toward an NAU bachelor’s degree after completing their associate’s degree.

Students who have completed or plan to complete a community college associate’s degree are eligible. Participating students are jointly admitted to both MCC and NAU, take classes to earn their associate’s degree at Mohave Community College, and then have the option of completing their NAU bachelor’s degree locally, online, or at the NAU Flagstaff campus, depending on the degree.

What steps do you need to take to participate in the MCC2NAU Program?

  • Meet with an Academic Advisor
MCC and NAU academic advisors are available in your community to help you progress toward a degree. Meet with an NAU advisor to verify the path you are taking will give you a seamless transfer into NAU. Your MCC advisor will outline your progression of classes allowing you to complete an AGEC and get your associate's degree. The AGEC (Arizona General Education Curriculum) is the foundation of your community college education. Completing the AGEC-A (Arts), AGEC-B (Business), or AGEC-S (Science) and your associate's degree will guarantee your admission to Northern Arizona University and will meet all of your lower-division general education requirements.
  • Fill out an admission application
If you are a current MCC student or just starting your journey toward a degree, inquire about an MCC2NAU application (MCC and NAU advisors have information available). If you have previous credits and are returning to finish a degree, see an NAU advisor and bring a copy of your transcripts. Your advisor will help you determine how many additional credits you may need before starting at NAU and make recommendations depending on your educational goal.
