  • How long does it take to finish the externship?

    This is designed to afford students the opportunity to gain classroom training in resume writing, cover letter composition, job research and career development. Additionally, you will receive real-world experience in the hospitality field through in-house events along with industry placement. The externship experiences will be set up on a case-by-case basis with consultation between the instructor, student and potential employer. As an MCC student, you will be given guidance in exploring various career paths in the hospitality industry, learning to recognize job descriptions, job specifications and qualifications, as well as with the writing appropriate cover letters and resumes.

  • Is there job assistance?

    Yes, MCC will assist you in job/career placement.

  • What days of the week are classes held?

    Applied/hands-on classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to noon, or 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Theory/lecture classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays; each class is 90 minutes twice a week.

  • What do the courses cost?

    The AAS is approximately $8,550. That's a savings of at least $40k over other culinary institutions for the same quality education! The Comprehensive Certificate in Culinary Arts is approximately $7,095; the Baking & Pastry Certificate as a stand alone is approximately $5,580 or as an add-on to the Comprehensive Certificate, it is approximately $2,244.

  • What is included in the cost of the program?

    The cost of the program includes: tuition, fees, uniforms, a knife kit and textbooks.
