To help meet the demand, MCC is offering state of the art programs developed in accordance with the standards set by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). MCC prepares students for a career in residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Employers prefer to hire employees that have technical school or apprenticeship training, both of which are offered through MCC. MCC’s HVAC program is offered at our campuses in Lake Havasu City, and Bullhead City which includes two programs, a degree program and two certificate programs.
- The AGS - Refrigeration Technology degree program is designed to provide training in the areas of residential heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as training in commercial HVAC, and commercial and domestic refrigeration theory, residential HVAC Installation, systems troubleshooting and repair, commercial air management, hydronics, and computerized energy management systems.
- A Certificate of Commercial Refrigeration is also available and prepares the student for a career in HVAC and refrigeration systems with an emphasis on commercial/industrial applications.
- Residential HVAC Certificate - This certificate program is designed to provide training in residential heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Topics will include safety and OSHA requirements, EPA certification, refrigeration theory, residential HVAC systems and installation, air distribution systems and ducting, troubleshooting and repair, including electrical and electronic diagnosis and repair.
