To advertise a job, write a memo with the  information included, and submit it to the Financial Aid Advisor. A student Employment Position Announcement will be posted within 24 hours, and will remain posted until the position is filled.

Memo for Employment Announcement

Closing The Job - Students record must be reviewed prior to start of work.

Procedures Regarding Hired Students - When a Student Employment Notice of Position is submitted, the Financial Aid Advisor will issue a Check List for Employing Students for each position requested. Upon selection of a student, send the student to the Financial Aid Advisor with the Commitment to Hire portion of the checklist.

The Financial Aid Advisor will verify the students’ eligibility. If the student is eligible, the Financial Aid Advisor will complete a Student Employment Agreement, SEA (Appendix F). The student completes a W-4, A-4, I-9, Selective Service Affidavit, Arizona Loyalty Oath and Confidentiality and Procedure.

The student is given a copy of the SEA to give to their supervisor and Administrator or Campus Dean. 

Terminations - A student may terminate or be terminated from their employment for a variety of reasons.  Whatever the reason, the FAO must be notified that the student’s employment with a department has ended. A Termination Notice (Appendix K) must be completed when a student’s employment has ended.  The original termination notice needs to be sent to the FAO.  A copy should be retained in the students student file.
