Internship Program – The #1 recruiting initiative used by employers today!  A wonderful way to address temporary workforce needs yet provide an invaluable learning experience for a student.  Review the benefits experienced by employers and how to participate in MCC’s Internship Program.

Workforce Resources - MCC, working with Mohave County One-Stop Career Centers and DES Employment Services, will tailor workforce services to your business needs. Partners provide access to employee recruitment, pre-screening and assessment services, Arizona Job Training and Apprenticeship Programs and adult and youth work experience opportunities.

"MCC Employment Connection is a combination of services related directly to just-in-time hiring needs as well as short or long term recruiting practices.

  • Job Posting Service - This cost free job posting service is available to all local, regional, state and national employers. Posting positions on-line with Mohave Community College requires completing and submitting an Employer Request Form with the required information. We invite you to post your available positions on the MCC Employment Connection. Students will submit their resumes directly to contact person listed on job posting. <-- Download Post a Position Form here --->
  • On-campus Interviews – Employers may schedule on-campus interviews during the recruiting season. Call Career Services to schedule an interviewing date. We will post the position description and the date scheduled for interviews. The student submits an electronic copy to Career Services, and we will forward all resumés to the employer. The employer will select candidates and schedule interviews. The interview room on campus will be reserved at the time you post the position. This procedure is implemented to provide MCC accountability for record keeping and reports.
  • Resume Referral Service – Students may submit resumes electronically and will be held in a resume repository within the Kingman Career Services office. Employers may request a resume referral, through an electronic request form, for specific majors. Once the request has been approved the office will email, fax or mail the resumes to the employer. Please allow at least a 48 hour turn around time.
  • "Campus Link – Increase employer visibility on campus by scheduling a day on campus to meet students and faculty.  Fill this Campus Link Form out and return by email or bring it in. Career Services reserves a table in the Student Center, Bldg. 200 on your behalf. The employer may bring a company display with information and promotional material to provide students you talk with during the day. If you are hiring one (1) or 20 positions of various levels of employees, it is a great way to provide students awareness of your organization. Bring position descriptions and application forms and hand them out during the day while collecting resumes of students who show interest. To promote your interest:
    • Employer provides flyers with pertinent information.
    • College will distribute and post flyers.
    • College will notify faculty of your visit.
    • College will post visit on college calendar of events and post on Career Services event calendar.
    • College will send emails to specific majors
    • If there is interest on the part of the employer to meet or schedule lunch with faculty, a referral will be forwarded to the employer to inquire about scheduling a meeting.
  • Businesses in Partnership Program – Mohave Community College is establishing a direct link to the business page on its career services Web site. Complete the form and list the name of your organization with a direct link either to your homepage or directly to your Human Resources or company employment page. Setting up a website link is a great way for students and the community to access information about your job vacancies and to learn more about your organization. Remember, this page will be promoted; students will be referred to this page as a terrific resource (another tool) for them to use in their job search.
  • Career Expos - Participate in the Annual Career Expo sponsored by the community workforce agencies and MCC. This fee-based event is held in a conference environment. The fair is an opportunity for employers to meet and talk with potential hires ranging from the newly enrolled MCC student to the graduate, alumni, and/or community member.

In today’s job market, the time to attract a potential hire is not just at the time that students graduate. As the College emphasizes its commitment to career development, it will be encouraging all students to attend the fair for a number of reasons. The career expos are a prime opportunity to assist students in a variety of ways. We are asking that you please be responsive to meeting the students’ needs. Consider utilizing a proactive approach to the recruiting process, while providing students insight into their academic, career, and professional development. Here are some of the benefits provided by the Career Expo:
    • Students will make preliminary contacts, build networks, and discuss career plans.
    • Students will develop and enhance professional attitude, business etiquette, and professional demeanor.

Students will investigate internships and part-time, full-time, and summer employment opportunities.

The employers represented at the Career Expo will:

    • Assist students in clarifying their career goals.
    • provide graduating students with contacts that may generate job offers.
    • Provide students the opportunity to begin the psychological transition from a student to a professional.
  • Sponsorship Program – Throughout the year MCC will announce sponsorship opportunities to the businesses of Mohave County and surrounding areas.

Watch for These Upcoming Events

We will be hosting a variety of career-related events throughout the year and hope that you will volunteer your services to assist in making these events successful. Our goal is to provide the workforce with a prepared and professionally adept candidate.

  • Career Mania - A day on campus where students and employers meet through mock interviews, resume reviews sessions, and employer panel discussions. Panel discussions will be related to what employers like to see on a resume, what they expect during the interview, and what experiences make job candidates marketable.
  • Etiquette Dinner – A social hour and dinner will be scheduled for students to practice and develop their professional demeanor. At the Etiquette Dinner, students will learn how to network and talk small talk, and they will be shown what is acceptable workplace dress and what is acceptable behavior during a professional lunch/dinner interview.
